V* to V6 conversion issues

I currently put a 2007 V6 and Auto trans in a 2006 GT V8 STD body. Changed the computr under the dash and under the hood. Started with the first turn of the key, reverse is fine forward seems to be slipping not power almost like I am brake torqueing the car. Geting a charging icon on the dash.

Any one have a idea or should I take it to a shop?

This is a convertible and the windows would not go down after the conversion, they did go down when I pushed the top down button but will not go up now. Prior to the switch the windows worked.

The top does not work any more either, you can hear the soliniod cliking at the pass. foot well.

I don't really have much to add to this except: Why did you swap a V6 into a GT?

Oh yes I'm sure... but until it is explained my pessimistic attitude assumes the worst! Lol.

Could this be a charging issue? I don't know if there is a difference between the alternators of the v6 and v8

Re: V* to V6 conversion issues

This will be a daily driver for my wife, the engine and trans was trashed so I WANTED to do the same and will probably go back but for now the Automatic and milage is the focus, not to mention got the engine and trans at a good deal with only 37k on it.

Ok that makes some sense now... I probably wouldn't be a great help with your problem though cause i'm not that great with mechanics
