People say the 2008 mustang sucks. And I say when u get it for a first car it doesn't. Does anyone agree

No offense but the v6 mustangs until 2011 do suck. I have one and I just wish I had a gt. i love my car but it has reached its limits other than a s/c which I wouldn't do. I'm just saving up for a 5.0

It's all about what you can afford. If u can afford a '98 civic, you're ages ahead of a 2002 Prius, but you're no 2012 Subaru.

I look at my 2009 v6 this way, I bought it new off the lot for 20k. I love the looks and can beat 90 percent of the cars on the streets. another 10k would have gotten me to 95 percent, not worth it IMO. A 2012 v6 would be better, but more money and I love my 2009.

Just think, every car at one point was a brand new car that looked awesome and performed outstandingly... As time goes on technology gets better so then the same people who thought such and such cars were really cool now think they are a POS just because something better is out. If you really love your car you won't care what those idiots say about it. And besides if you get a 2008 Mustang for your first car then the only people who can criticize you are those who were given cars by their parents without one ounce of deserving them... I know a guy (my age)who thinks that if its not a V8 then its **** because his dad has lots of classics, his dad even gave him his 1969 Firebird (It had a built 455 in it, but he took it out and put the stock 350 back in for his son to drive). I've gotten so much **** from him about planning on getting a V6 Mustang for my first car cause he has a biased attitude against them (His dad and I are cool, and he said his son doesn't get to keep the car lol). My "friend" (somewhat but ehh) said I should drop a foxbody 5.0 in it because "It's basically a V6" (Direct quote... Insert all your negative comments here)... Oh and if his dad wasn't into cars like that then this guy would be a total geek cause he gives up so many racing events to play video games with friends.... I just thought that was a nice example to your original question.

It's not built, but it isn't stick... With that 455 though he could hit a wheelie on slicks and motor alone, no FI or nitrous ect... But he still believes in if it's not a V8 then it sucks.

I hate ppl like that especially the ones that don't even have mustangs. Like they'll ask me about my Stang and when I tell em it's a v6 their like what's the point of getting it it's not even a gt. but I get more compliments then I do stupid remarks on it though. But when I graduate college gonna get a 5.0 one day

It just irritated me that he said a fox 5.0 is "basically a V6"... Oh and something that makes me laugh is that he has actually done some damage to some of the fenders when he drives (He hit a pole at a gas station once).

It's very annoying to me when people put down my v6. I'm a 20 year old college student and have paid for the car and all the modifications myself. There's a lot of ignorant people out there that forget these things. I'm very appreciative of my stang but I can also say when I get a job with my degree I won't be buying v6's anymore!

Usually when someone is given a vehicle for free they don't care what happens to it cuz mom or dad will fix it for them. People who buy their own vehicle tend to take better care since they paid for it themselves(usually). I'll be honest, I've ridden in some v6 stangs before, they are pretty quick.

I get the same crap from a (few people) I just tell them give me the extra 11Gs and I'll go and get the 5.0. I got my sixxer for a number of reasons. And there's not a lot. Correct me if I'm wrong. A 21 year old went out and bought a mustang off the showroom floor. I love my car. I bought this. I've been at the track and raced 2 GTs and I got props for beating one and staying with the other.

Fu@$ the haters cause like I said before had it not been for the V6 mustang probably would've died a long time ago just like the Camaro! V6s literally carried the "pony car" on its back! I love my sixxer hell strap on an Explorer X-charger supercharger and we can kill some modded GTs!

Honestly when you are in high school and drive a mustang, it doesn't get much better. It's a v6, sure. But it looks bad ass and the ladies love my car. The only people who hate on them are the ones who don't have one, drive camaros, the vh8ters, and the foreign car guys and most of them(not all) are tools anyway. And like somebody earlier said, even though it's a v6 it's still can beat 90 of cars on the road. I'm not complaining one signal bit. My only complaint is I wish my car sounded like a v8, but I'm pretty damn happy with it being a bad ass sports car sound. People need to ctfo and grow up, that's my two cents!

I hate to say it but the 05-10 v6 was very slow and I cursed myself for spending the money on it when I could have bought a fox body gt so I bought a 03 as for beating most cars on the road not really going to happen been there tried that but what it is good for is a daily driver that isn't as much to ensure and it looks very nice compared to other cars on the road and it has been rated as the best bang for your buck for the money but a Honda SI can beat it >_>
