I understand completely but if you get caught and you arnt the primary driver and they somehow find out that you drive the car daily, you will pay a gigantic fine.

They really have no way of proving if you are the DD of that car or not.

So much misinformation in this thread.

And in my opinion the new edge body was the last of the real mustang. S197 feel big and slow, like i'm driving a truck around...

Slow? My new edge felt slow compared to my 08, and it handles much better, the last of the real mustangs were in the 70s I believe

I'm late to game ill have to go back and read entire thread later. My philosophy has always been mechanicals first, get running good and safe. Then cosmetics. Then boost performance. Of course this is with a car that needs work. So skip step one if ok for now. I've owned quite a few cars, but this fox body i have now and an f100 I had are the only ones really had a plan or vision in head for. Other cars just done simple things like tint and kandn filter

I drove the 05's when they first came out and a few new 5.0 cars. Wasn't impressed with either.

It's a big car and slow to react with all the electronics. Give me a throttle cable and clutch cable.

Our 04 gt with intake/exhaust feels like a much more nimble car with more low end torque than the 3v cars.

I know what you mean by throttle response, a tuner fixes that

How can you not be impressed with the new 5.0? Are you trying to say a new edge has more power? Lol

Lol in my opinion an '04 with intake and exhaust doesn't even compare to a new 5.0.

This isn't a constant bash, if you need a new thread for GTs then feel free to start one. If its a constant V6 bash it will get shut down.

How/why do GTs and Boss's always come into the V6 thread and bash?

Reasons I bought my V6:

Price
You can do more with the engine (more room under the hood)
Insurence
Gas prices

Yes, I/we wish we could have bought a GT or a Boss but we didn't...and mandy, please don't start rambling again about how your dad has you under his insurence but your driving it or how the fox is better then everything else...enjoy your stang and let everyone enjoy their's without have to read your inconsistent views

But with performance you get to that speed faster lol, but i do agree having a Stang that looks unique and gets alot of looks is bad ***

Looks & sound are important to me. speed limit limits us but a short race can be won by the better driver who is not necessarily in the more powerful car.

I'm 17 and I knew that I was getting my mustang at about age 15. Step dad owned her since she was new and gave her to me, and for two years I've been working on cosmetics. And still have several things to go
Grille Delete
New carpet
Upholstery
Tire/wheels
Smoked all light and reflectors
Have to fix a short in a speaker
Tinting
And lower her,
And much more.
Only "performance" I have is a CAI, Exhaust, and chip(which sucked and I pulled it out)
And I love my sixxer, doesn't matter who has what, as long as you love your car. They all can be made to go fast also.
