cold air intake legal? - Mustang Evolution

cold air intake legal?

I have a C&L cold air intake with an sct performance tune programmed, also my inspection us due and I am wondering if what I have is legal in New York state, or should I put the old air box back in and change the tune? I would like to get it inspected tomorrow

Cai's and tunes are perfectly legal. Only catless exhaust setups are illegal

Cold air intake is ok but the custom tune should be back to stock tune. (I think) keep asking I might be wrong.

My car want run if its on stock tune there is too much are being sucked in and the maf sensor with turn the car off

I was told that for my jlt cai, I needed to remove it and install my original. I live in California. If I didn't want to do this I had to buy one that said carb legal and should have a sticker or something.

For me I just just change it, it should take you less than 30min and it will be a good time to clean it good while u at it.

Well here in NYC you can pay the guy inspecting your vehicle money under the table. Not much.
