Pypes True Dual Exhaust X-pipe Kit with Takeoff GT mufflers

Does anybody have that setup and if so how is the sound compared to a single flowmaster or other single exhaust?

I had it for a while and it most definitely sounds better than any single exhaust I've heard. It wasn't loud enough for me though so I got the pype bombs and now I'm much louder than a stock gt and some modded ones

How's the sound quality? Raspy, ricey, anything like that?

I've got pypes true dials with violator cat backs and I think they sound fantastic. They growl and are much more aggressive and loud than stock

I would say x rather than h in this case with the pypes, the sound is much more authentic imo

That's the controversy, H pipe or X. It always comes down to that!

It sure seems that way, although if you compare the two on a sixxer its pretty clear that x sounds better and gives more noticeable gain

I have pypes true dual exhaust and flowmasters, it sounds great. Honestly though just get what you think sounds good, that's all that matters. But you might as well get after market exhaust if your making the switch to get the most noticeable gain

Uhm no mine doesn't sound raspy or ricey at all... My friend has the slp loudmouths and hates them. My car sounds like a beast

Oh and my pype bombs were like 30 bucks less than slp? So do ur research before calling something cheap

I was talking about their whole system and yes pypes are cheap and u get what u pay for and the fact that they are CHEAPER is true they cost less and you get what you pay for

That phrase implies that the item is a POS though

Some people feel better paying more but its all about personal preferences. Like anything else the more people buy the more the price will increase.

How long have they been around compared to borla or flowmasters? Pypes price will eventually catch up with the rest.

I sure hope not they don't really sound as good as the others only reason people go for it is that's it's cheap to convert a single to dual with them but some do like the sound I'm not one of them but really sound can only be judged by the individual hearing it and is different from person to person

Not too pricey?? $400 for a single axle back is ridiculous, I'm getting two flowmasters for only $280

I think he must have meant duals, that would be really expensive for one axle back
