race tune

I have a C&L cai and a sct tuner, my question is, is the race tune really worth it? I would need to put 93 octane gas in and it is expensive near me, does this race tune really add a whole lot of hp/ performance to the car? Or should I just stay with the performance tune and or street tune?

Re: race tune

Mostly everyone says that it makes a night and day difference if you have no mods yet. They have an 87 and 91 tune so you can still get the tune with 87 and feel a power gain (Not as much as the 93 though)

When I had got my tuner the lowest is 91 for race and as high as 93 it did not give an option for 87

Re: race tune

Oh yea i forgot, the street and performance tune are 87,91 and 93 but the race tune is only 91 and 93

So if you still want to use 87 then get the performance tune.

Re: race tune

I use the 93 race tune on mine with a C&L CAI and lemme tell you, if I had to return to stock I would cry first of all, but it does make a big difference in response time and shift points from the other tunes
