Xcharger Supercharger

Anyone have one? If so, what's your opinion/results of this supercharger.

My buddy got his put on but stupidly did with 4.10 gears. He gets zero traction in first gear but he did gain around 125rwhp

Yeah I've heard that those hp gains are accurate

I have the Xcharger Xtreme and have been very happy with it. Easy to install and with 3.55 gears, automatic, and a set of 275-50x15 drag radials put my car into the 12's. That's with a heavy convertible (3,750lbs).

And yes, 4.10 are a little steep since the torque comes on so soon with the Xcharger compared to other superchargers.

The Xcharger doesn't give you the most HP, so if you are looking to compare dyno sheets it won't be the star there. But it is a proven and reliable supercharger, and very consistent performer. And you can't beat the whine from the MP90; everyone says they don't even need to look up, they know I'm making a pass just from the Xcharger scream.

Otherwise, you save up.

I know what you mean. And then if you drop that kind of cash on your v6 you'll have to deal with tools saying "why didn't you just sell your car and buy a gt with the money"!

Ensurence is the deciding factor most of the time that's why I don't bother even saying that lol XD

That would be the non-intercooled version - still a good kit. If you go to explorerexpress.com you deal directly with Dave and Patty Vanek. Great people and great at customer support.

Surprisingly I've heard that the non intercooled version still puts out good power and it retains the efficiency and reliability of the motor.

Lots of non-intercooled Xchargers. We didn't have the intercooler option until about 2 years ago. Perfectly safe as long as you have a good tune to compensate for the lack of intercooling, and easy to upgrade later.
