Hood Scoop and Fog Lamps

Should I pull the trigger on this Hood Scoop? Because AM has it for $199.99
2005-2008 FORD MUSTANG GT V8 RACING HOOD SCOOP BLACK | eBay

They also have these fog lamps. AM has the same ones for $169.99
2005-2009 FORD MUSTANG V6 BLK GRILL GRILLE W/FOG LIGHTS | eBay

I think the scoop is a pretty nice deal.

I was going to buy that grille from eBay, but I heard that the halos are not that bright and the fog lights housing will start to melt after few months but the grille itself is a very good quality, you have to check with the other guys that they bought it already.

Thanks. I was hoping that somebody on here has bought those products from that company.

I bought that identical grill but under a different name a while back. I never hooked up the halos because it looks fine without them on but yes, the back upper area does start to melt. For the price the look is good, the fitment is great but I use the fog lights mainly because I like that I can see more directly in front of the car.
After about 2 years they look like this. I only use for about an hour a day because it's dark when I drive to work.
Still not totally unhappy with it, it is tons better than the billet overlay that still shows the stock grill behind it.

I do like the grill itself. My main reason for that purchase was that it was a complete one piece and didn't have to buy lights and mounts and everything else that would have driven the price up to about 400 or so when I was hunting.

And if you have the factory pony package, it hooks right up to it. If not, mine still came with a complete harness and switch. I gave to a buddy with a 07 also but no pp along with my pp grill and lights but he never installed wiring, just the grill.

And one more thing, not to keep rambling but I've had a few drinks, if you get the grill, replace the bulbs before installation because mine didn't last long and you basically have to pull the whole thing out for easy access in the future. Not a huge deal but it's nice to know before hand.

It honestly wasn't a bad deal. I'd replace mine again with the same grill when i can notice from standing in front of the car as opposed to sticking your eyeball up to the light. It just hasn't progressed to that yet. And the bulbs I bought from auto zone 2 years ago still work so I am happy with it.

I would like to purchase both at the same time. I'm just waiting to put the money aside for both

So from what you are saying, I guess the only problem is with the fog lights, and if it did last two years for that price then absolutely it's a good deal!

I bought that grille & yes the halos are not very bright but you can see them fine when it's dark, the problem I had was with the fog lights, the relay just made a strange noise when I turned them on but no light, so I just left the halos and I like how it looks.

Re: Hood Scoop and Fog Lamps

I would only use them for about 30 mins a day 5 days a week.

Bought this grille last week for $80, found it on Craig's list, AM sell it for $170!
Still have to get the wire harness!
