engine dies help

Had to break hard twice tonight for deer. The first time once I was stopped my car didn't want to start going when u gave it has and the engines then died on me. The second time, once i again gave it gas, it felt like I was sick in neutral and not able to shift into first.
I have an '09 V6 auto trans, only 17k miles.
I'm wondering if all my fluids flew forward and screwed up some sensor? Any ideas?

I had a cavalier that would do that. I took it to get checked out and the dealer wanted to sell me a new computer. They said it was a quad driver failure. I never had it fixed I just learned to live with it until I traded it in.

Re: engine dies help

I'd hazard a guess that the sudden stop displaced some debris in your gas tank or fuel filter. Check your fuel pressure and see what it is doing. I don't know the fuel pressure specs for your car, so you will have to Google them up or buy you a Chilton's manual.

Good luck! You'll have to let us know what the problem is, never heard of that happening. Hopefully it's not An expensive fix.

I imagine I'm no longer under warranty due to its age. 2009 V6 automatic, 45th anniversary edition.

Oh you might have set the engine breaker off! Driver side kick panel you will find a button look closely to the left side of the break pedal. In front of your door. There's a small black button press it down. It may or may not fix your problem.

I figured out the problem, had a setting wrong on my programmer, I guess the situation must have exasperated the issue
