Trunk

So I have had my 2006 mustang for about a year and I can't find a trunk button on the inside. Are the only ways to get in the trunk the key remote and key? Or is there a button?

Yeah definitely don't understand why this one thing was left out considering its so useful. When I bought my 07 I asked the salesman about it and he said the car came with it but that it was hidden and hard to find. So both of us looked for like half hour and gave up but he lied and told me that it was definitely hidden somewhere lol. It wasn't until I read somewhere someone ask your same question that I learned the truth.

...it doesnt have one from factory to protect the trunk of the convertibles... leave your top down in a drop top with a trunk button and come back to an empty trunk... so the factory maintained it in the coupe models too...

Not exactly, there's a strap tucked in between the rear seat and the side of the car. You can pull on that and it releases a latch on the back of the seat and it folds down, you can get into your trunk that way. I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but it helps when you lock the keys in the trunk.

edit: lol just read the post above mine. nevermind

It's right there but you can't see it. Pull the seat cushion to the side to reveal :

The hole with the strap in it. You can barely see the strap in there. Pull that out and yank in it.

The problem is the strap isn't anchored well so it can fall all the way in that hole. If it does you'll have a hell of a time getting it out. Especially if your hands are any larger than mine. I can barely get two fingers on there to fish it out and I have smaller hands.
