Has anyone here put a chip in their car?

I'm seeing these adds on the mobile version of this site for They seem cheap, I guess they're having a sale right now where they say it's normally $399 and is now $69. I assume this is similar to getting a custom tune for your car.

I was wondering what results you noticed when putting a chip in your V6 in regards to power gains, fuel mileage and reliability. Plz specify any mods you have on your car in addition to the chip and for how long you have had the chip installed.

One more thing; all of these chip sales sites say a 60 HP gain. Is that for a V6, I'm assuming it's for the GT.

My brother bought one for his 2005 stock v6 automatic and hated it. It did absolutely nothing for him but it may have been because he was running bone stock.

Those chips are huge scams! Stay away! Don't be fooled that a chip can give that much power and also they lie about the price reduction it's always been that but they want people to think its a deal so that they will buy them. Save your money for a tuner or a different mod! :IMO:
