8.8 rear end on 09 v6

Im looking to upgrade my rear end before I supercharge my 4.0 what do I need to have to complete the conversion?

As long as it comes from a similar year model shouldn't need anything, it would be a good time to add control arms

Would I need to convert the driveshaft ? An I plan on getting control arms sway bars an coil overs also

With your mods that would be the natural progression IMO.
Maybe someone can chime in but idk about hooking up your parking and rear brakes.

I know it's a straight forward installation but will the driveshaft hold up to the power that I'll be putting down ?keep in mind I have bbk CIA an throttle body , Mac long tube headers , bbk xpipe , an magnaflow comp. cat back , an its dropped 1inch

You use the same driveshaft and the 8.8 is a direct swap as far as mounting up. If you get a rear end from a 2005- 09 GT you need to swap the pinion flange so your V6 driveshaft will mount.

If the rear end comes from a 2011+ Mustang (not sure about the 2010) then my understanding is that it comes with the correct pinion flange on it already for the 2005-09 V6.

Since it is the same driveshaft it will hold up to anything you have put to it.
