| Hood and Fascia concept.
I just got my new 05 mustang v6 a couple days ago and am getting a wish list together on what I want to do to it. I want to get a K&N CAI with a tune, dual exhaust conversion, and the trufiber A39 hood. Im toying around with the idea of the GT500 front Fascia too. Here's a crude mock up I did on photoshop with it. Please give me your honest opinion on it, I like the look of it but need advice! |

Looks great in your photoshop, but that hood won't fit on the GT500 front fascia. Notice how the grill supports tilt inward? The GT 500 hood has a section that is cut out to fit the grill opening. it doesn't run flat across like the stock hood. That's why you see different hoods for the GT/V6 and the GT500.

O okay yeah that makes sense. Thanks I didn't know that. I kinda re thought the fascia anyway and there are other things I'd rather spend my money on, plus it just takes away the look of it. I think Im going to add the CDC chin spoiler and keep it unpainted. And I ordered the grill with fog lights so Im going to put that on next weekend.

I had the CDC chin spoiler on my 2006 and it looked great.
This is the only picture I can find right now - I know I have more but can't locate them.

Yeah Just have to make sure that I don't run into those parking barriers haha. I actually installed a CAI on monday. My buddy and I were checking out the prices at autozone and the kits were running from 250-300+. My buddy, being a pretty experienced drag and drift racer, said that he had built his own CAI's for his cars when he raced. We checked out the intake aisle and we pieced together a CAI using the spectre parts. only cost around $90 |

Cai looks good but it try to fabricate a barrier between the engine bay and intake head. Because your sucking in hot engine bay air.

im surprised that build an intake from advance is working right on there without your car running lean since it's not tuned for it
