I want dual exhaust that GROWLS!!!

So I was just about to get the flowmasters force 2 and the mechanic told me that this dynomax has a better sound (and it was cheaper) but I dunno. I really want a growl and some of these pipes I hear sound like a cheap *** Honda civic hook up, and the mechanic told me no matter what i do it wont sound even like GT....I called bull**** but can somebody help me out?

Re: I want dual exhaust that GROWLS!!!

On the 4.0 don't delete the cats. It gives a horrible tone and raspy sound. No one who has done it liked the sound.

The best sound I had on my 4.0 was X pipe with the GTA mufflers on it. No drone and nice little rumble. May have been able to get more deep tone with the H though.

I just switched my x pipe for a double h pipe I have to say It sound 10. Times better for some reason but I'd recommend the magnaflow v6 cat back an get a x or h pipe an headers for a set up u won't be disappointed I have it on my v6 an 9-10 people will say its the nicest sounding 6 that they've heard but u always have those guys who say there ebay exhaust sounds better

I had pypes on my 6 for a while but I switched to Mac long tubes for the power but I personally like the sound of the shorty headers better the long tube give u a nice boost from the shortys but for the money an the sound I'm not a huge fan it just sounds like the long tubes aren't the best fit for the v6 like there's not enough air coming out the motor to make it sound aggressive like the cold starts sound great but every other time it kinda sounds like a Honda so I'm switching back to my old set up with the pypes

You're mechanic is right though, you won't be able to get it to sound like a v8

Is the magnaflow a true duel? Or just a second y-pipe?

+1000 to this. My car sounds 2x as loud compared to my single stock muffler. Now have a single flow master AT.
