Oh No another

I've had this car for 4 years now, and no accidents in it. Well that changed today. I was so focused on why my phone wasn't opening the garage door, I got out to enter the code, and on my way back to the car, it started rolling. I forgot to put it in park. My drive way has a slope at the end and it rolled into the tree.

In case you are wondering, the tree should make a full recovery.

I felt so dumb but dont worry bro we all make mistakes

Haha that's what I was thinking, I got my rotary polisher all fired up.

My deductible is $500 and $25 a day rental coverage to a max of $250. I was pissed, but nothing I can do about it now expect laugh.

It's been a weird month that way... A lot of random and rare car damage.

Oh man a sigh of relief. I sprinted after it to I jumped in the drivers seat. But was just a second to late. If the tree wasn't there it would have gone straight through the fence.

It depends on the amount of damage. But they did on my Chrysler, so I am assuming they will if it's that bad.

On the positive side my brother works for a Chrysler franchise, so he said they will fix it like new.

I'm just gonna guess. But from what I see, hood fender, bumper, headlight, headlight apron, inner bumper support, inner fender support. After paint you'll probably be looking a $3500 at the least. Are you going to consider any aftermarket parts? A pair of aftermarket headlines would be cheaper then one OEM headlight. And aftermarket hood would probably be half as much as a OEM hood. Verts look awesome with cowls.

Oh man, I'd be livid!!! My brother didn't even touch my car, but he's like uhh that's not good. But we'll take care of that. The good part is I know they will fix it right without much hassle.

After market headlight housings for sure. It's about 50% if the cost and there is no noticeable difference..

Maybe after market GT CS bumper, but I don't want to loose the pony package grille.

I didn't even think about the hood Primer! Great suggestion!! I knew y'all could find the good upgrades!

That's funny! I always wondered would happen when the same 2 cars collide.

My next delima is should I go to the Ford dealership that my insurance company has at the top of their approved list, or the one my brother works for which is not approved?

Either way, your insurance company is gonna nickel & dime you to death. Where ever you take it, try to get the body shop to do a full estimate before the adjuster takes a look at it. So you can minimize the supplement after the initial claim.

Man that sucks! Glad you're alright though. I've heard of people running to hope in and stop a rolling car and slip and get run over. So at least that didn't happen..."half full" assessment ya know. I hope you catch some luck getting her fixed.

I gotta do some negotiating, after learning this was your advisor. I hope he calls me when he gets the estimate. I assume, I still have to approve the work even though State Farm already approves of this place.

I know that's what the insurance agent on the phone said. I was like I didn't even think about that. I got close enough to grab the wheel and jump in that way. I enjoy living dangerously haha

Dennis was out, so I talked to the other guy and he said, I just have to cover the difference if any. They were in the process of pulling the parts off the car and evaluating it to today. I'm assuming the bumper is going to run up the bill a bit.

Yes they are great! The insurance agent said, " I will be sending all of your claims info to Billy Howell, and would you like me to arrange a rental car for you?"

She explained my rental coverage and everything.

I'm really liking the Cobra R hood!

Hmm you got me thinking. My only concern is the visiblity since I'm legally blind in my left eye.

(Don't worry, I'm almost 20/20 in my right eye w/o correction.)

I'll ask him about swtiching the bumper. My guess is it's more money then I loose the pony grille. Why can't these decesions be easy?
