Any CAI will do fine. They all do the sane no matter what the brand. Just get the cheapest one, then put a K&N filter on it. It'll work just as good as any other.

The gain in the CAI is in the tune - so don't bother with a CAI that "doesn't require a tune" because that tells you that the car is acting just like stock still.

Any of the CAI with a tune will give you a performance gain. Otherwise you are just spending money to "make it look pretty" under the hood.

Not that there is anything wrong with that if pretty and showy is what you are after.

That's false. They are not the same. Take a look at the one on american muscle for under $100 compared to a K&N or BBK. The heat shroud is a lot bigger and thicker on the K&N compared to te no name under $100 CAI. The shroud on the cheap one is extremely thin and would cause more heat soak compared to the thicker K&N or BBK CAIs. You get what you pay for.

I agree. Its in the tune. Americanmuscle sells good combo kits. There is an air raid and JLT cai that require a tune and with the proper tune can add a significant amount of HP. The JLT cai for the 05-10 has a video attached while on they dyno and with the correct tune got 30 HP.
