Post a pic. I believe it's oxidation. I have it on the underside of my hood. The only way to fix it that I know is to sand it off. Then you'll have to repaint it

Had the same problem on my 05. The hood is alum and they missed the seams with sealer. I had it wire wheeled and repainted. I wasn't happy with the paint job, the main reason I traded for a 12.

Yep thats what it looks like same place..and a small spot on the front of it also.I"ll sand it off and primer it and repaint the inside of it ...The front im going to try to remove just the bubble part of it and primer it and touch it up.. i just bought a bug and chip defector for it so i want to make sure its taking care of first.

So doing more research on it i quess its a common problem with the 05-10 mustangs .Ford knows of the problem i went to the dealer where i bought it a 09 with 35,000 on it the service mgr took pics where the bubbling is underneath the lip and a small spot in front ..said were slim to none the ford would cover it. and he was right..said for a grand they could fix it mighty nice of them huh Anyways going to do it myself and see how long it holds up..then buy a new fiberglass hood for it..Not very happy with ford nor the dealer right now.

Thanks for the info not a bad price ..Looks like the way to go instead of putting 1000 in a paint job and having it just come back..and he wasn't even going to paint the whole hood. lousy dealers anyways...

Yeah I'd buy an after market hood again before spending that much on my original hood just for paint !
