4:10 gears?

Anyone here running 4:10 gears on their v6? I am debating on getting the 4:10 or the 3:73 gears. I just want to know if the 4:10 gears are a little too much. Are they annoying on the interstate? And how much mpg are you losing? I usually drive to work on the interstate at about 75-80 mph and sit at 2500 rpm. That is comfortable and I am willing to sacrifice some of that. And do any of you have numbers on how the 4:10 gears increased your ET over stock gears. Numbers for the 3:73 would help as well. If I can ride at 80 mph and be at 3000 rpm with the 4:10 then I am OK with that. Thanks in advance.

I had 4:10 gears when I had a 7.5 rear end an it was a little annoying cause i drove my car everyday an it killed my mpg like I was getting worse mpg the a gt but now I have the 8.8 rear end with 3:73 gears an its perfect if ur car is a daily driver 4:10 would be more of a weekend kinda deal

I see. My car actually is a daily driver and it sees a lot of freeway miles. The good thing is that I carpool with a coworker and drive one week then he drives the next. How bad was your mpg? Do you have any race numbers? Anyone else have any input?

My mpg went way down like 15-17 mpg an I have no Idea what the numbers would be cause I never ran it at a track or had my v6 dyno'd till recently

I have 4.10s.
I average 18-19 mpg around town.
On my way back from concord, nc when I picked up my Stang, I drove 973 miles back home and averaged 24.5 mpg on the highway

I agree, but 4:10s are tempting. I have 3:73s. 85 mph puts me close to 3K Rpm, which means that I have to reach 4 k at 120. I miss the ole 3:27s.

+ I don't miss the drone of the flow 44s though. They are mellow at 2500, and wake up to the pedal. They drone at 2200 only, and die off at about 19.

My first one was a 94 V6 auto. Mint condition. Bone stock. I only sold it cause I moved back home to Louisiana from Ohio. Kinda hard to sell a northern car in the south due to rough winters. I had it 4 years, put 14k miles on it.

So last question about this topic on my end. Even if someone doesn't have the exact numbers what kind of ET difference would the 3.73 vs 4.10 gears make? You guys think it it safe to say that the 4.10 would only be about .2 seconds faster than the 3.73 on the quarter mile? I am guessing that number is about right. If that is the case, it might not be worth sacrificing 3 mpg on a daily driver.
