Some people just have a disregard for safety or don't have a brain.

I live in San Diego and you can tint your lights and cops won't care but if you get pulled over and the cop is having a bad day or is just an ***, he would write you up. I had tint on my old tail lights and I loved it and never got pulled over but you could also clearly see my lights during the day.

There is so much stuff that is illegal in California that cops don't even bother with certain stuff any more... But there are those johnny do-gooder cops who might get you.

Exactly lol. I'm in Sacramento, and cops only pull people over for easy stuff lol. They only pull you over for speeding if you are going ridiculously fast. In my area i rarely see people pulled over, they just don't care lol.

For things like that, my understanding is your car must meet the regulations of the state it's registered in.

You can get it then use the tint kits to alter the color to make it more like the grabber blue. But you will need to buy the gallon sized to do it.
