AM ... Is custom tune needed after having new 3.73 installed today!

Well... My baby pony is going under the knife this morning! Alright! So it isn't s knife! It's worse! It's Mr. Wrench and he's not coming alone! He"ll be bringing his Companion Mr. Flange! I think I had better stop because l could have so much fun with the Ring and Pinion and a Master Bearing kit.

Seriously! Today I'm having the 3.31 gears removed and FRPP 3.73 installed and as I mention I purchased Motive Master Bearing Kit.

Here's my question. Do I need to have any type of recalibration done due to the new gears? I have my SCT/SF3 Tuner with tunes for life that was purchased as a combo with the JLT CAI? I just realized that this may have to be done after installing the new gears today. If yes, is it possible for AM to write new tune today? Someone please tell me what I need to do or what to say?

Here's something else. The mechanic that is installing them will not do the tune! I have to! YIKES! ! Talk to me before l talk myself into a full blown panic attack!

you simply need a new tune file from americanmuscle to correct the gear ratio. It takes like 3 minutes to tune the car. to load the file onto the tuner you can download the recommended software (they can tell you) and then pretty much just plug up the tuner and copy the tune file over to one of the 3 custom tune spots~

You plug up the tuner (key out of ignition car off) then after it boots up put the key in and turn to on position and go to custom tune select the tune and hit go~ the original is already backed up

of course consult the guide first but thats how I do it.

also the car will run and drive fine the speedometer and odometer will just read faster than it should so it does not HAVE to be right this second you can get it tomorrow etc.
