I used a tint bit of lacquer thinner on my 05 when i had black spots all over my car. took them off no problems without ****ing up the paint. use at ur own risk!!!!

Do not use thinner. Depending on how "good" the stuff is, you could soften your clear. This will cause problems in the future. The harshest chemical I would put in your car would be mineral spirits. Even with that I would use sparingly and remove it ASAP. Then a good car wash.
