You have to have bought it from a company that offers tunes for life " like Bama" and you have to be the original owner.

I think its $150 for tunes for life. So you'd have 350 in a used tuner. That's what a new one cost with discount. Better to buy that new. Used ones are more for people getting a dyno tune.

Andy,

Unfortunately the Free Tunes For life doesn't transfer to new ownership of the device. You would have to send it to SCT to be unlocked for a fee of $150 and the buy into our Program for a one time of $150.

I wish I could be more help there! Let me know if you have any questions. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Most likely! I'm sorry that you weren't able to take full advantage of your buddy's tuner at a cheap price. Hit me up when you're ready to pull the trigger and I'll make sure you're taken care of!

Also, if you don't already have it, we have a 6% forums discount for all active posting members. Shoot me a PM and I'll hook you up!
