Loving Your Mustang Unconditionally

ok guys, having a problem here, I have so much unconditionally love for my mustang that I told myself I would never give up on it but I have the opportunity to trade it in for my all time dream mustang (any 2011 and up Grabber Blue Mustang) and I was wondering if you guys ever had to make a decision like this before, I know it may seem kinda obvious since I'm getting and extra 100 horses but just letting something go that you care so much for, thx guys. V6 POWER.

It's also an object of sentimental value. It symbolizes the time you've spent in and on it, and reminds you of memories. Same reason why you wouldn't trade in your kids' photo album, our your wedding ring (besides the fact that your wife will slaughter you).
305HP is good and I thought about trading in too, but I also considered whether or not I would be able to afford to just buy it in the future and own both and whether or not I have the space for it.

To a lot of us on here, our Mustang is a lot more than " a car"

Don't trade it in!!! 1st off how many miles does it have? And the new 3.7's have a weak exhaust note.. You could easily keep your car and get a turbo later on. But it depends how many miles your car has

The 3.7 DOHC 4V sounds mean as hell , what are you talking about? Way meaner than a 4.0 in my honest opinion. But really, who cares about sound..when they go 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and run low 14s , high 13s bone stock. For low 20s brand NEW, now that's a STEAL

Lol. You guys sound like my wife. It's a vehicle and won't be around forever. Enjoy it and move on.

I don't regret selling/trading any of my past vehicles and all had decent amount of aftermarket and time invested.

The 3.7 doesn't sound as throaty as the 4.0, it still sounds great! But the 4.0 is deeper but at higher rpm the 3.7 sounds better

I've worked my butt off for everything I own. At the end of the.day it's simply a liquid asset.

Is your car paid for? If so you have to ask yourself is it really worth a big car payment for a extra 100 horsepower?...cause it sounds like you really like your 4.0

I personally wouldn't because I plan on keeping mine for a long time even the day when the engine dies I plan on rebuilding it. But that's just me everyone has a different opinion and if u do trade it in then it better be for something that is better than what u currently have like a new GT or heck even if u can get a used Shelby then better

well my car has 116k+ and I honestly I was planning on keeping my stang, in all honesty. but this "new mustang" situation is not a choice but a great opportunity because I'm getting great help from my mother and law with rebates and a discount because of my uncle in law work for ford so that's why I ask if you guys been in the same situation. trust me, I LOVE my mustang and is my dream car but it's like my dream car is getting a big upgrade on looks and horse power.

Disagree on the exhaust, the 3.7s are pretty soft, but agree with the rest

I know I'm late getting in on this [ hard week , no time to get on here ] But I know exactly what you are talking about--I have three machines I don't ever want to get rid of-like my bike, everytime I'm in the motorcycle shop I look but no temptations, I love my machine, it's a part of me. I'm the type that will drive the wheels off before I get rid of something I love. Only when it isn't worth putting in the money anymore will I part with it. But when you see one and you know it's instant " i've got to have this one" , it's time go for it and start a new relationship.

alright guys, well I drove 4 hours to kileen tx at automax to get my car and I ended up getting a 2013 v6 (v6, only because that's what I can afford) and it's white but since I couldn't get it today they let me use a rental car (vw passat) lol and my love stang should be delivered at my house either on Tuesday or Wednesday, I'm so excited guys!! and I'll be getting pics of my car Monday an ill post them for y'all. I couldn't miss an opportunity like this for me to get a (new) mustang for it to last for a long time and I'm only 20 years of age and is paying for it (along with other bills) I feel pretty successful. I feel bad though because now I have to go to the 11-14 v6 stang forums.
