Turbo vs procharger?

Ok I know there are a million posts on these but here's one more lol I've looked into both and I guess the main thing is the extra maintenance for a turbo worth the cost their both pretty close in cost but the pro charger has less maintenance but I can acquire a lot more power from a turbo I'd like to hear from people who have had these set ups and know what they have encounter with their set ups,
Ps for extra info it's my summer car, and I wanna be able to auto cross once in awhile but mainly bring to the drag strip and it is an auto too

If youre wanting to autocross I can tell you for sure you want the supercharger. Turbo has an issue with turbo lag...ignore the maintenence aspect, turbo lag can make or break a lap, whereas a supercharger will give you better low end torque and no turbo lag...oh, and what most people dont know or dont understand, drag racing the exact same car with a manual vs. Auto, the auto will win as long as its a good transmission and the shift points are correct. Top end drag racing is done with auto transmission. Double clutch auto that is very precise...but its an auto.

Turbo's on v8's have very minimal to no lag. Unless you get a huge turbo. Either way turbo>supercharger
