2009 V6 - Project Six Pack

Okay, just bought a 09' V6. And with the help of some of the ME members, I have a rough idea of what I'm planning on doing with her. ...I'll keep this thread updated as to my progress. And I'll probably build a website soon.

First order of business is to get a Bama tuner and dual exhaust. I also have an appointment at Chet Wilson's Garage to see about getting a bore and hone done. As well as balancing the crank shaft (since Ford neglected to), and possibly putting in a new cam while its all torn apart.

Just bolted on a thrush welded muffler in true 'don't want to wait for shipping for duels' fashion. Lol Sounds great, but next paycheck I'm ordering duals and a Cai. Lol

Dual and Cai are what I'm starting with. also have a 2009 V6 similar to yours. I notice yours already has a hood scoop, different grille, doors and wheels from mine.

The person who had it befor me added the side scoops, hood scoop, spoiler, and billet grill. The 18" rims are actually stock. As is the pano roof. I think it has every option avialable on it. ie, Shaker 500, power, leather, lights in cupholder and floor, pano roof, rims, etc. It was a pretty sweet deal. It had some minor dents and scratches, plus 130k miles. But mostly highway. Still runs great.

Watch the stock 18's from the 09 Pony Package! I had a set on mine as well. The price on them is RIDICULOUS! Getting them new is around $2400 for the set, just wheels! Anyway, watch for salt, dirt and water clogging up in the center caps (Only wheels I've ever had this issue with) and pushing out under the clear coat and eating the chrome. Mine started bubbling just slightly around the center cap, then it expanded outward. I take very good care of my car, and about once a month take the wheels off and clean them inside and out and make sure they're not rusting or deteriorating...it happened pretty quickly.

Thanks I doubt they could be sold used for much though. I'll probably wait to mess with rims until I get a Cai, tuner, and nos. Lol

Sweet I've been considering going with an 8.8" with a 3.73. Probably see if I can find one in a junk yard first. Lol

No problem! It definitely deepened the exhaust note. I was running an x-pipe and no mufflers. Made it a lot less raspy. Sadly I traded the car in 3 weeks later lol

Did your aftermarket parts do anything for the trade in value?

What year is it? ...You really should have sold it to an individual instead of trading it in. Dealerships don't give you **** for tour car. My friend is a salesman at a ford dealership, and he said they make most of their money on the tradeins :/

It was an 05 with 130k miles. I wanted to sell it privately but it wouldn't pass inspection without a bit of money into it. The dealer sold it before inspecting it. Someone saw it and had to have it lol

Well, mines an '09 with 136k miles, and I paid 10,500. It has a lot of options, but still, $5k seems low. :/ However, someone told be yesterday that the pano roof was a $4000 option when it was new.

I got mine as a base model in 2011 for almost 11 at 106k. Not the best purchase lol. And my thermostat housing blew up a few days later

Nice to see another appearance package on here.

I paid $16,000 for mine with 36k miles. It's an 08 with every option. I thought I did horrible, guess it wasn't that bad, lol.
