System too lean bank 1 and 2... Suggestions?

I have an 06 mustang v6 and I've been have troubles with it lately, my check engine light came on and showed the codes for system too lean in bank 1 and 2. I got it checked at express lube and they could not find anything obvious so they suggested to try running it on premium gas instead of 87. They couldn't find a vacuum leak but they just sprayed it with carburator cleaner, I was thinking about trying a smoke test to clarify if there's a leak or not. I'm also going to try and clean my maf and possibly replace the oxygen sensor? Just trying anything that could possibly be wrong. There's also a pinging sound coming from my engine when I accelerate and I was wondering if this could be related to the lean condition of my engine? Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks

Pinging would mean its not getting enough fuel check fuel pressure might have a really bad fuel filter though or a terrible vacuum leak
