drivers seat belt

2009 v6 drivers seat belt won't stay in the lock -worked one day the next day it wont stay into the lock--has anyone had this problem not only can't wear seat belt , the seat belt ringer is driving me nuts-- have checked all of the electrical connections to make sure they are tight and checked all fuses stuck it into the passenger side and it locks in --is this a mechanical or electrical problem?

I don't think there's any electrical components that control the latching mechanism within the buckle. It could just be seized. Try one or a combination of a few things:

spraying compressed air in the slot to clean out any crumbs that may have dropped inside

Slide a small screwdriver or pick back and forth lightly along the slot to see if you can dislodge anything that's stuck

Spray WD40 or similar product to lube the mechanism (remember to cover the area such as seats with a cloth when spraying)
