Starter Help

Hey, I think I need a new starter. My 06 mustang starts up fine but as soon as the engine starts up, it makes a grinding noise that goes away in like 2 sec. I think its the starter. And if it is, wouldn't I need to replace the flywheel also? How much would it cost to replace the starter and a flywheel for an automatic transmission?
