MPT OR BAMA!!!

Hey guys i have been complaining about my tunes from BAMA, after 3 check engine lights from the tunes they finally figured it out and its working fine now, but the downful is it is not as aggressive as before and it lags like hell when u step on the gas. So iv read some reviews about MPT and i pulled the trigger and will try them out as soon as ill get the email. No offense to AM they are very helpful but just could not figure why i keep getting check engine lights and now that its fixed it seems like its so lag.... Hopefully it will work this time with MPT i will let u guys know..

Chadtyge,

If you're looking for more throttle response, the Bama Team should be able to increase the sensitivity. Is your Mustang a manual or an auto? Also, could you send me a PM with your First/Last name and shipping address? I'll get your info over to the Bama Team as well.

I'm sure they'll get you taken care of!

Shane

Thumbs down

When I called Bama about my even more sluggish V6 after tune all they told me is that the tune was set up the way it should and they didn't see anything wrong with it (end call) spending $400 on a tuner and feeling slower is a big disappointment.

Stephen06v6,

Your Mustang certainly shouldn't feel more sluggish after the tune is uploaded, unless there's some kind of mechanical issue. Have you recently installed any performance parts, like a midpipe or CAI? It's easy to have exhaust leaks or air leaks with mods like these, which will drastically throw off the tune.

If you don't mind, I would like to have one of my best Bama Tuning Specialists review your tunes one more time. Just in case anything was missed!

Please shoot me a PM with your First/Last name and shipping address and I'll get this taken care of!

Shane

So i got my MPT tune today and oh my ...... What a big difference. I went for a 30 minute drive in the hi way, it accelerates really fast that it chirps my tire and it sounds like my exhaust seems to sound more deeper.. Im actually afraid to drive in the city cos it reacts so fast, my heart was pounding on the way home driving my baby.. I think i will settle on this one..

Im not kidding, i have the bama race tune 93 oct. before but been having check engine light issue so they tweaked the tune but after that i couldnt feel anything from the tune anymore, so i tried the mpt 93 race performance and wooww what a difference. Its crazy fast and from stop and go ur tire will chirp so easy so i have to be careful dont wanna wore out my tire so fast..

I know I don't have a v6 but still a related issue with Bama. I'm not knocking them at all, because their customer service is top notch. The tunes they make run strong and have laid down some good numbers for my and my friend also. Dyno and track numbers.

I have had a number of random misfire codes, and a bucking issue they haven't been able to fix. The misfire codes come randomly, it's not something that happens all the time. But the car would buck about 35-60 in 5th gear cruising at times which I thought was just absurd. We went back and forth with data logs trying to get things figured out. They got better but not by a lot.

One day I decided for s's and g's I bought a tune from steeda. Got it loaded, my drivability is perfect. No bucking, car drives great. It is a little more sluggish but I will take a few hp for street ability. Needless to say though haven't had the steeda tune down the track for actual numbers so can't really compare.

Would love to see if Bama could fix their issues and keep the performance also! Just my experience and figured I shared.

We have the same issue with car running lean code and running rich code, so i called them multiple times about this, there CS is top natch but could not figure out the problem, they fixed it but the tunes seems to be softer. I got tired of calling them and tried something else. so far i got what i have expected.

I would go with BAMA. Got me one last year and couldnt have been more happy with the tunes. Also, you get free tunes for life which is a bonus!!!

Is it just for one Tune though? Because then it's like $150 if i paid for another tune compared to $150 for unlimited tunes
