Exhaust Upgrade

I have a Mustang V6 Pony Package & my next upgrade is exhaust. What exhaust pipe do you guys prefer? I want a deep sounding roar similar to a V8 sound. Thanks

Check your smog requirements. You can't run headers (legally) in Ca. The Long Tubes are ILLEGAL because they eliminate the CATS.

Check I heard that someone on here said the JBA shorties were Legal. Might check with BBK on there shorties.

Also, you can't make a V6 sound like a V8. You can buy a V8 and that will take care of your problem.

Shorty headers and Mac Pro chamber. Not sure what kind of axel backs you'd want

NewMtang is right, But if you want that perfect GT sound I would go with a Roush Axleback exhaust. Right when you start the car you will instantly feel and hear that rumble.
I was in your same situation not to long ago and right when I got it I was soo happy!

Get an intake too, gives more of that deep sound

For the 4.0L v6 I recommend Pypes mid muffler catback and Pypes shorties with stock cats

there is indeed. $575 on AM I believe. It's meant for the GT but with a midpipe I imagine it would fit. I also want to know how they sound. Does anyone have the roush axle backs or have heard them?

Borla Stingers. Deepest I got with my V6 until I wrecked it thinking I was just playing GTA V.

Now they're on my GT.
