05 stang hard shifting

I have noticed sometimes when i start my car when i try to put it in gear it feels stuck or notchy. I took off my shifter knobe and noticed it looked like it has dirt on the bearings. Is there anytging i could do as for greasing it up maybe?. Now my clutch feels good and disengages about halfway. Could it be gear bushings?

I guess my question would be whether you can discern if it's the gearshift or actually the transmission? When you shift, is your transmission not going into gear properly, or does your shifter feel rough?

My initial solution would be to make sure your tranny has plenty of fluid in it. If that didn't fix it, I'd tear the shifter out, and move it around, and see if it feels rough or scratchy. While the shifter is out, you can check bearings/bushings for condition.

I suspect you're missing some tranny fluid, or it needs flushed, with a new filter and fluid.

My tranny fluid is full and looks like new tranny fluid.(red). It goes in gear but feels rough sometimes not always tho!. As for the gear bushings i didnt see any, and how do i take my shifter out?. When i took the knobe off i didnt see any bolts that hold the shifter in.
