2007 Windshield Wipper Motor Failure

So today I had the luxury of catching my far smoking during my break at work. I go out to the car the radio was on with no key in it and a good deal of smoke was coming from under the hood and dash. Turns out where the harness on the windshield wipper motor attaches had gone ablaze. I must have got to it close to the begining because when I pulled the motor out there was only a small amount of the plastic blistered and the clip had almost melted together with it.

Anyone else have a problem like this happen or heard about it?

Ill post some pictures of it tomorrow.

At this moment I'm having the same problem with the stereo on without the key and is all because of the plug behind the glove compartment

Send a message via Skype™ to 99ford
What you should do is report this to the NHTSA and they'll investigate it if it appears to be faulty Ford will recall the problem eventually.
