My 1/4th mile times any pointers ?

Hey guys i got a 2010 mustang v6 4.0 an today i went to the track for the first time. I have a 93 bama race tune bbk cai , bbk 70mm throttle body, screaming demon coil pack, live wire sparkplug wires, ngk iridium platinum spark plugs ,3.73 gears, 8.8 rear axle , and a 1 pce aluminum driveshaft. I ran a 14.10 consistently today. Is that good for my car ? Here is one of my time slips

Yes! That looks like a respectable time. If that is your first time at the strip, I'm jealous.
That 60' is good.
It looks like, with a pair of drag radials, you should break into the 13's.

For the 4.0 engine your times aren't bad.
Make sure to avoid the water pit and do a very small burn out(just to get off dirt/rocks etc) because a big burn out is not needed unless ur on slicks.
Throw on a set and drag radials(nitto 555rs, MT street 2s etc) and you should shave that time down some, could see high 13s.
I ran my BMW down at my track when I had it and my best 60' was 1.8 on stock 265 and I ran a 13.3 at best. Note my BMW was a twin turbo putting about 375rwhp down.
Now I just bought a 04 cobra and the thing scares me, I'm afraid to race it actually as I enjoy it more as a street monster rather than a drag queen.
But that's off topic^
But if I had out DR on my BMW I coulda shaved .4 off my times because I woulda gripped better.
DRs are a huge upgrade.
Since you do run the 4.0 go with a smaller tire set up as opposed to the natural v8 big tire set up.
Since you don't create as much torque smaller tire DRs will hook just fine and you won't have the extra weight with wider wheels and DRs.
Now if u want the wide tire fat *** stance(which I love) know that you will probably run slower but for a trade off for looks.

But for a 4.0 those times are actually really damn good.
Now go out there and eat some rice for us mustang lovers bud!
Good luck!

Yea, a little, but adding nitrous and full exhaust will beyond make up for that.
Contact Ortiz Performance and tuning and he can hook you up with a good tune for the nitrous.
You could run a high of a 125 shot

With a good tune you should be okay.
I believe AM ran a 150 on there 06 v6 mustang.

I know the 99-04s can handle a 125 shot with a good tune.
125 is a decent 80-100rwhp when shot.

The internals of that engine can handle up to 350-400rwhp.
400 is pushing it.

Should be just fine.
I know the 3.8/3.9 could handle 350 as many did a m112 eaton swap on them.

Is that with your mechanic labor put in? Or did you do it all yourself?

I dnt really hav a machanical background lol im good wit tools an directions though and i know where everything is on my car. I did have to use my buddys lift because it was extremly heavy. I looked up directions on where everything connects an its pretty much all the same except i needed a cobra flange to connect the new 8.8 rear to the v6 driveshaft.

That's definitely good! All you needed to do was cut the 60 ft down by 1 more tenth and you would have seen 13's. I would recommend throwing on a set of upper and lower control arms, a 1-piece driveshaft, a good tire and you'll definitely be in the mid 13's!

Keep up the great work with your build and let me know if you ever have any questions!

Awesome! It sounds like you definitely have a good set up for your Sixxer.

I'm definitely a believer in Nitrous. I'm in the process of installing a 100 shot on my 2011 GT and am really looking forward to get that 10 second time slip! If I were you I'd probably throw between a 75-100 shot on your Sixxer and get a good custom tune. As long as you get all the proper safety features, such as a window switch, bottle heater etc.. you won't have any problems at all! Nitrous is perfectly safe with a good tune and the right components.

I hope this helps!
