Dash kits?

Hey guys most of you know that on the pony package cars they have the interior fitted with some chrome? I was wondering if you can buy the similar thing as that for cheap?

Are you referring to the aluminium dash, steering wheel, door handles and shifter handles? If so, it shouldn't be hard to find those actual dash panels. The aluminium dash panels weren't just on pony package cars, they came on the "Premium" level cars too. My 2005 has the aluminium trim because it's a V6 Premium.

Here is the gauge surround and center vent panel on ebay. And as of me posting them, they are only $20 no reserve. http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-09-FORD-M...077378&vxp=mtr

You're best bet would be to do what I'm doing. Go on ebay, find a vinyl that you like and do it yourself. My car is the premium level coupe so I got the "aluminium" dash panels, aluminium shifter, steering wheel spokes and door handles. To make my car stand out I ordered a 60"x12" sheet of blue carbon fibre vinyl and I'm going to cover the dash aluminium with it. It cost me $10 on ebay and I made sure I ordered from a US seller.

No problem. My first attempt will be today as I don't work tonight... which means it's safe to pull the dash out of my car. From looking at it, the most difficult part is going to be getting the material around the airvents. You can't just pop them off, they have plastic tabs that were heated and bent over to hold them in.

Thatdude156, my attempt failed (difficulty cutting it to fit the bezels). So I went to ebay to see if there was a cheap kit to use as a template... Well, it turns out that the company I bought my carbon fibre vinyl wrap from sell a precut Mustang dash kit. Colour choices are aluminium, gloss black, matte black, gloss blue, carbon fibre, blue carbon fibre (I will be gettting this one), dark red carbon fibre, silver carbon fibre, white carbon fibre, chrome, diamond plate, engine turned, several solid colours (green, red, yellow, purple, silver), and several different wood choices.
