New Exhaust

I was looking towards Axle backs for my brothers present but his being a 07 v6 and having a gt bumper I want him to have both axle backs but thatd mean he needs a dual catback. What type of midpipe do his model v6 have? If its already an x or h I was thinkung have a shop fabricate some dual exhaust tubing up to where axle backs would start and buy some axlebacks and have them put on. He's not much into taking and removing an off road x like mine every 2 years to pass smog so that wouldnt be an option. And also wondering if they sell some sort if dual exhaust tubing for v6 that would work as a dual converter and then you can apply some axle backs to the ends. Input would really be appreciated. Thanks

The v6 has a y pipe, you will need to get an h pipe (do not get an x n the 4.0, sounds like crap). Or even divorced duals will work on the cars because of an even firing order. A shop could definitely fabricate divorced duals easily.

Something a lot of people do is get an H pipe the correct diameter of the exhaust, and then get the driver side piping, then you will be able to run axle backs at each end.

Could I possibly acquire an H pipe from a same model GT since those cone with cats and put that in his 6 and either get same catback from GT and put axle backs or have a shop make the pipes for the axle backs?

Different piping diameter. Won't fit.

So I'd have to buy it's own v6 H with cats and buy either catback or shop piping and axle backs basically right?

Yeah I completely disagree about the x-pipe. Mine sounds ground with my mid muffler set up!

I haven't really really lioked into youtubing the sounds of an X or H just went for an H since it's deeper. Might do that in a bit
Is the H and X same format of the 99-04 X and H? Like the cats are on the X or H cause it seems on some pictures that the cats aren't on the H and it doesn't even say off-road.

I didn't buy some fancy expensive stainless steel piped kit either. It was custom done by an exhaust shop in my town.

I didn't buy some fancy stainless steel piped kit either. It was custom done by an exhaust shop in my town. It is converted to use any GT axle back mufflers. I have flo-pro max mufflers on here right now. Here is a couple bad pics of the tips too. Haha

Nice! What did it run about for that custom? If you don't mind me asking. It was kund of like a mini x right at the midpoint so it breaks up into a dual and convertible to gt catback? Or how exactly was it done.

What do you guys think about the prochamber? Good or not worth it? And also came across the bottom X pipe that says you cut back a piece on the stock v6 midpipe and have that clamped or welded and is able to use GT catbacks ans and still using the stock cats.

It was about $450, but it could of been cheaper, I just wanted a certain kind stainless tips and mufflers. It is setup like that cut and clamp xpipe midpipe. Then is goes back from there pretty much as a gt setup. And then I have flo-pro max mufflers with 4" tips
