Replacement key

I know what you're thinking from the title, "just go to the dealer". Well, I've asked my question at the dealer and they didn't know.

What I want to know is, will one of the newer keys with the built in remotes work on a 2005? I know the keyblade is the same, but would the remote work?

Some will. I couldn't get one to work on my 2006, but then tried a different one and had no problems.

how do you like the flip key skoundrel? I've thought about it alot, but wasn't sure if it would be a good quality or not.

How do you sync these things to the car?

You have to have both your factory keys. You put the first factory key in, turn the ignition to "ON" for more than one second and less than 10 seconds, turn the ignition off, and within 10 seconds put the second factory key in and again turn it ON and leave it for at least one second and less than 10 seconds. Now within 20 seconds of removing the second factory key, insert the new unprogrammed key and turn it to on. Leave it there for more than a second. And it should be programmed. Surprisingly all of that is in our owner's manual.

Oh to program the remote you only need one key. Get in the car, close the door, turn the key to "ON" and put on seat belt (to turn off all the warning dings). Now turn the key off and on 8 times (should end with the key in "ON") and the door locks will actuate. Hit the unlock or lock button on the remote. Tah dah, programmed.
