Problem?

My 06 mustang thermostat housing keep cracking I'm on my 4th one in a matter of 1 year and a half i there a metal one out there some where some please tell me something

Haha, that is absolutely hilarious. I'm laughing at Ford, not you. No one knows why they made a thermostat out of plastic. Mine went once too on my 2006 V6, but didn't have any problems after replacing it with a new Ford one. Buy that metal one^

Are you torquing it down correctly? I don't think any s197 owner HASN'T replaced their tstat. Mine has done it twice, once with its previous owner and once when I did it.

Ford just seems to drop the ball on some things. They should have learned with the sn95's. Most guys with 4.6's had to replace the whole intake because the the thermostat housing was part of the intake... Made of plastic, and often cracked. SMH.
