Please tell me what this is!:)

I have a very stupid dog that chewed my wires but i don't know what that thing does. It's right under the trunk and you can see it easily. I have the check engine light too now. So does anybody know what that thing does? I really would appreciate it a lot!

Hmm, and is it bad? Or will it influence anything like fuel economy? Because i wouldn't fix it soon unless the dog runs away))

is there anywhere you can go close to get the engine code? id think its not that important but idk a whole hell of a lot

yup, nothing noticeable changed except for the check engine light. now i noticed that it chewed my parking sensor wiring too... i'm gonna kill it!
