Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has had anything similar.
Drove my car all day yesterday no prob. As I hit the highway I accel to 5k rpm through second and third to merge then cruising at 70 I notice im trailing a crap load of smoke. When I finally have a chance to stop and pop the hood I find oil all around the cross brace near the rad and smoke from the engine. I cant tell where the leak is but must be close to the engine block.
Thing is I just got it serviced and inspected. Im bummed.
Ideas?

well if it was just serviced it could just be that the mechanic was sloppy and missed the hole and its just oil that was splashed on engine parts burning off creating the smoke. very possible..
lift the hood of your car. look at the coolant reservoir and see how much fluid is in it. should be to the cold line... look on the side of the container you will see what I mean.
Lol i wasn't kidding. I actually thought if i kept cycling the dash info it would show up. I have very limited and selective car knowledge. I'm in school atm (had to get dropped off, felt like a kid again). I'll check when i get home. Thanks for the pic!
Are you sure it was oil you saw and not coolant? Could very easily be coolant spewing out of the thermostat housing. Common to have the back of the housing split open and coolant blow out across the engine and under the intake manifold.
Yea. I found the verdict yesterday. I've popped my tstat housing cherry. Thanks for all your help guys
