So I have a 2005 v6 mustang with mac ceramic longtube headers to magnaflow high flow cats to a custom h pipe back to pype bomb axleback (muffler delete). I had an x pipe and just got it switched to an h today and still not completely in love with the exhaust. I know a mac prochamber but don't have the money atm. So I'm thinking about getting the pypes m80 mid muffler but just getting the mufflers. Anyone heard this setup before or any opinnions on what I should do?
Depends on the type of muffler!.. Knew a guy with a V6 with the Prochamber, LT headers O/R Mid pipe, and no mufflers!.. Car had a really deep tone to it!.. A bit more than my GT!.. Lol
Will the cats affect the deepness of the tone? Cause a buddy of mine has just deletes and gutted cats and his is a lot deeper then mine. Other then that he is running same setup
Not a fan of resonated tips!.. I would just go with regular tips!.. Having cats will restrict it some, but usually the "raspy" tone is determined from the type of Mid-pipe and mufflers you have!..
Personally I would go with your same set up, minus the Cats and Resonated tips!.. But that also depends on if you have emissions testing in your area!..
