HELP with transmission
I was hoping to never have to post a thread like this, however I seemingly have a good number of drivetrain issues. I have had a long series of problems ranging from my clutch pedal not moving as much as it should to what seems to be bad synchronizes and recently they have become too prominent to keep going without addressing. My dad (who is very well versed in mechanics of planes and cars) has diagnosed the issues to the best of his ability as a potentially bad slave cylinder paired with a going clutch as well as bad synchronizers and maybe the throw out bearings. We will have the car checked out to get a second opinion. So, with all of that being said if I have to overhaul or replace my tranny I will be looking to upgrade to a higher performance and more reliable manual tranny that can pair to my 4.0 V6. Do any of you know of a reliable tranny replacement that meets my criteria or any trannys to stay away from? Same question regarding clutches? Thank you all for any help it is much appreciated!
Thank you guys,
