BBK Throttle Body 70mm troubles....

OK, I don't need a hard time about even buying a throttle body mod for my V6 because I'm already feeling pretty PO'd about it...

Here's my situation. Put the new one on. Struggled with getting the right voltage and finally thought I had it but even then, I got the check engine light and in the message area I got a "Failsafe Engine Mode" message.

Got fed up with all of it and put my original one on. Made no changes in the settings of it but now the voltage on that is all jacked up and I can't get that to work at all.

So, at this point, I am open for any suggestion because I don't know a lot of weekend mechanics and I am obviously limited at best. Next call I'll be making will be for a tow truck to take it to a real mechanic but I'd like to avoid that if possible. Any miracle workers out there?!

Got the BBK from American Muscle. They've been great but I just can't get it going...

It has good initial reviews, but a lot of bad talk on these forums.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with the throttle body! I see this was a few days ago, have you had any luck since getting this worked out?

If not, I'd try adjusting the voltage again. It sounds like it's still not set correctly. Also, I'm sure you already have this, but here's BBK installation instructions if this helps you at all.

Let me know exactly which part you stock on if you need help!

Thanks for the replies. Apparently I had a bad TPS sensor, replaced it with another bad one and eventually took it to my Ford dealer who got it going. Been great since with no issues whatsoever and pleased with a little extra "oomph" when I hit it. Recommended mod!
