Underdrive Pulley.

Do under drive pulleys give you more horsepower, mpg, or torque? Are they worth the money?

they dont give you anything, they free up what you already have by reducing the amount of work the engine is putting out to run your accessories. therefore more power is going to the wheels rather than being used to spin other pulleys. are they worth the money? dont know. never seen one for a V6. dont know if they even make one. ive always heard good things about them from others though.

Asp makes one for our v6's but its not cheap. I have one. Starts delivering the torque earlier and pulls harder. Very noticable difference. I got no numbers to prove it though. I also encourage you to swap the pulley yourself as it was really easy if you can get your hands on a puller. Also make sure u have a nice strong battery and a good functioning alternator too just in case

For the most part 1 hp. unless you rev up to max rpms. You can rev up a lot faster with a udp. Most udp are rated 7-8 hp. I have herd people say a 2 mile per gallon gain, but I do not know how accurate the report is.

Dang. Hey Zhim, no offense but I hope you didn't buy it from that stangmods site... The pulley is $265 from ASP and that belt is $21 from Summit. That's only $286 compared to stangmods $310.

unfortunately i did. I'm from canada so the shipping cost for ordering from 2 different places would have made up the price difference anyway.
