Rain in cabin

We have had some heavy rain and when I went to work I found standing water on my rubber mat. Passenger side, I thought the glass was allowing water through. However I went to a glass place and he said there was a vent letting water but I have no idea what he
was talking about. Please help.... Should I take it to the dealer or no?

If you do a search on the forum, I know people were talking about this quite a while back.

Yeah I would take it to the dealer and our search feature doesn't always work that well.

One last thing you might want check is the drain vent under the cowl near the drivers side.

So open the hood, run your hand across the bottom, until you feel a rubber boot then just stick your fingers up there and clear the drain, if its clogged.

I was a little busy yesterday so I didn't have time to look. Do a search for Dodge Neon. When the results come up, look for the thread titled "I need help....!" That is the thread I was referring to.

Ok, the problem is the water is coming in through your cabin air filter. Your Mustang has a dual firewall, with 2 drains (which like to clog) between them. When the drains clog, the water rises and pours into the passenger footwell through the cabin air filter. BE CAREFUL. This has shorted out MANY Smart Junction Boxes which are located in the passenger kick panel.

You need to open your hood, remove the air filter access panel (black panel under wiper on passenger side), and clear the drains.

Guys I really want to say a BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! I just took it apart and took me about ten minutes and cleared up the drain with the end a plastic hanger. Slid right Down the shoot. Cleared away and water rushed right out. If it was not for this app and Mustang guys and gals I would have been scratching my head for a while. Thanks again.
P.s. My filter looked as if it had not been changed since 2005 that was the time when they first put it in.

No problem! I cleared mine out recently. That video led me to fixing another leak I have.
