Dual exhaust

I recently installed the pypes dual exhaust conversion to my 07 V6 and it feels like I lost hp, has anyone had the same happen to yours?

I have it and I didn't notice much difference, but I've never heard anyone saying they lost HP.

Some people mention a loss of "back-pressure" but I still believe that could be placebo as well.

Ah I see. The dyno numbers would say otherwise I think. I think your right a lot of it is placebo.

I agree. Especially with an aftermarket tune, even more with a tune-required CAI.

Yeah converting to dual exhaust absolutely gains horsepower 100% of the time.

I had that feeling with my 2010, so I put a H pipe on. 100% better!!!

Even more placebo. The power difference between an h and x mid-pipe on slower applications/engines such as the 4.0 liter V6 is going to be very minimal (sound-wise it may be more noticeable).

Technically, an x-pipe is higher-flowing than an h-pipe on these stangs so the post above doesn't even make sense.

You should see a 5-10 horsepower increase after tune.
