Oil changes

I'm about to change the oil for the first time with this car and I was hoping to get some recommendations on what oil and filter I should use. It has 102k on it and I don't treat it like a race car but I do push it into the 3-4 thousand RPM levels from time to time. And advise will be appreciated!

So you pretty much baby it then? Sounds like it will be a dependable ride when you sell it due to the non abuse it goes through. Anyways, filter is a opinion like oil and there are several good brands out there. Try a Fram or original parts Motorcraft filter. I'm sure others will chime in and then it will be all up to you after that.

Do you know the type of oil the previous owners used in the car? I personally am a big fan of Napa Gold Filters along with Super tech oil. The key is changing the oil at regular intervals. I change the oil and filter in my 2011 every 7500 miles.

No, unfortunately I have no prier history about the car other then it has been used and abused I know it's had at least 4 owners before me. At this point I'm almost trying to salvage it haha.

Okay , no problem bro. I would recommend using Napa Gold Filters, they are actually Wix filters and are great. For oil, I would use Super Tech (Wal Mart) 5W 30 and change out at 5K intervals.
