input shaft seal/bearing

okay so i have a terrible knocking coming from my trans (5 speed) when im at idle in neutral and im beginning to thing my input shaft seal and or bearing are going out has anybody replaced this themselves on here bc i could use some tips bc i really dont like having a mechanic working on my car ... ive done all the maintenance to my car myself and replaced my clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing about 5000 miles ago so maybe i missed something when i did that but any help or suggestions would be great!!

I have, but i had a transmission shop do all the work, i completely broke my torque converter and had to get a stronger input shaft. The shop built me a custom 3500 stall converter and built my trans. I'm out in cali
