2013 hood vents

What do you guys think? I've heard water sometimes gets into the cai and sometimes not. I just decided to go with them and ordered guaranteed one day air from AM. And as usual, they're garbage and it's going to take 4 days to get here. So order things weeks ahead from them! Still fought for a refund. Anyway, does anyone have this on their stock hood and have any opinions? If it sucks I'll just send it back. Thanks!

It's sounds like half this thread is meant to bash AM. Guaranteed one day air is just that, guaranteed one day. If it's saying it'll take 4 days, that sounds like regular free shipping. Were you actually charged for the one day shipping? If so, they should be able to work with you on fixing the shipping issue.

i've never had an issue with AM shipping. always on time, unless the part is backordered, which even then i received an e-mail asking how i would like to handle the backordered item. i've never had a complaint about AM, and i'm sure most people here would agree, sorry to hear you've had a bad experience.

i don't have the hood vents, so can't put my .02 there....

As for the vents, the 13s and 14s did have an issue with water getting to the CAI filter, but the foam insert was created that fits into the front half of the driver side vent that prevents water intrusion. I'm sure something similar for the 05-09 vents is available as well, or maybe the vents are positioned slightly further back.

Just tried am extremely long reply but the service went out and did my first through. So in short, foam would still trap the heat? And am sucks.

No, the insert only covers enough to keep water away from the CAI. And bashing forum sponsors is prohibited, so be prepared for either this thread to be deleted, or your posts to be edited. You're one of a very small percent to have a bad experience with AM and if you gave them a chance, I guarantee they'd bend over backwards to right whatever is wrong.

Where can I get these foam things? Hopefully not from am. And I'm pretty sure they don't care if I review them and share my experience I've had with them lol. I've fought in two wars and I'm pretty sure I have freedom to post comments on my experience with the company lol.

Yes, you have the freedom to post them, and the admins also have the freedom to delete posts that they don't want on their forums. As for finding the plugs, I'm sure you're more that capable of using a search engine like Google.

Do you know how much they cost?
Is it from one vendor or there's several?

like stated, the MAJORITY of people on this site have received BEYOND EXCELLENT service from AM. most of us shop AM only (or mostly) so you might have to research your finding of parts elsewhere, which you are also free to do.

This is an online forum, so no you do not have the full extent of freedom of speech. And outright bashing of a vendor is not allowed by any means on Mustang Evolution. If you have an issue with them take car of it with THEM.
