3.73 gears

Has anyone swapped out their 3.31 gears for 3.73? Thinking about doing it but is there a big difference between the two? This is my dd so not really wanting to go with 4.10 . Sure it would be about 400.00 all said and done wondering if it would be worth the cost

3:31 gears or 3:71, is it worth it?

Great question, I was looking for a response, I'm considering the same up-grade. I have a 2014 GT, just started up-grade. I've put a JLT CIA, and Bama Performance Tune (91 Octane), also New FlowMaster Outlaw Series Exhaust. Exhaust is LOUD, but I'm learning to love it. I'm like you 4:11 gears, they will negatively impact my economy, as mine is also DD. I'm not Dragging the car, just want 'Street Quickness".
Please let me know what you find-out about the gears. Celtic

Only way to have 4.10's on a 11 and up manual is if you have a 28" tire and are planing on spinning it up to 7800-8000.

If not you are going to be hurting it more than anything

Is the 3.73 for manual and 4.10 for auto rule of thumb a good thing to go by?

Better get a limited slip too or just get an 8.8" cause 3.73s or 4.10s with an open differential and you can say bye to your traction if you've got bolt ons

I was thinking of that also so there would be a big differance between the 3.31s and the 3.71s ? I am also planning on 18'' wheels and tires getting the power to both wheel would be better. With these 4.0 s other than nos or supercharging you can do only so much so i think thats my next mod...... bbk cai bama 93 race tune gt take off muffler .

They told me they wouldn't honor the warranty cause I converted my exhaust to dual exhaust and that somehow they expected me to believe hat affected the transmission failure....my dealer was furious and no longer sells their extended warranty.

Oh, so the dual exhaust didn't really break the transmission. You scared me there.
