Exhaust help !

Hey guys looking to beef up my 4.0's sound a bit , first let me say what I have , it's got and xpipe with flowmasters . Now I'm looking to make it a bit louder ,it already sounds really good for a v6 and just looking to make it louder .. I was gonna put shortys on it but I've heard it's a waist unless I get long tubes ,so I plan on getting long tubes and deleting the cats..I can get a good deal on pacesetters ,has anyone had experience with this brand ? And just so you know it will be camed soon

Shorties are not a waste of money. They make great low and mid range power where long tubes make more upper rpm power. I've got shorties with an o/r x and love it....what cams you gona run?

I've only seen like two longtube videos for the 4.0, sounded pretty good to me and very loud

Removing the cats will make it raspy. Usually removing the cats on our 4.0's don't sound good but I think you have an interesting set up

So I shouldn't cut the cats ? I don't want it sounding like crap just trying to get it to be louder ,it gets kinda raspy at high rpms but I've been told that's because of the xpipe.

You need valve springs too OP. Look on supersixmotorsports.com they have a small little description on cams for our 4.0 and what's needed

^ yes considering Outlaws are really effing loud already an off road h would make em louder. But off-road mid pipes sound really good on v8's

Check my exhaust clip, it's a few pages down on the threads. I have GT MAC axle-backs with a custom H-pipe and it is very deep and sounds great.
